Founded in 1954, Carpinteria Glass Company Inc. began as the original non-union shop of Santa Barbara Glass. The company was later acquired by its foreman, who managed it until 1983, when Phil and Cecilia Barton-Grimley took ownership after relocating from Zimbabwe in Southern Africa. Captivated by the area's small-town charm and vibrant community, they transformed Carpinteria Glass Company Inc. into a locally owned and operated family business that has thrived for over 40 years.
